Remembering Reese

For those of you who haven't met her, this is Reese Avery Anderson. She was born asleep from unknown causes on November 20, 2004 at 34 weeks gestation weighing 5 lb 2 oz-- a beautiful thread in the tapestry of our lives. She changed our lives forever and we will never forget her. Today was the National Day of Remembrance for pregnancy and infant loss. We remember her every day as we are not the people we were before she came. We thank God everyday for her brief physical presence in our lives and His eternal care for her. Reese is at home in heaven with another sibling who we lost due to miscarriage in the summer of 2006. We rejoice in the hope of seeing them both again. You can read my post from last year here.

Gone but not forgotten. Just like yesterday. A lot has been lost but we have learned and gained a lot. I am so proud of your grownth as a Christian and Mother. You took your pain and channeled it into the Lord and your family. I will never forget Reese Avery. She was a beautiful angel.

Love you,

Last night, I was holding Baby Girl and wondering how a mother could do that to her child. I thought about all mothers who can't have children.

Then, the thoughts of Reese came to me. I know we've never met, but Amanda has told me so much about how strong you have been, and how much you miss your sweet Reese. I love how God provides for our prayer needs through friends of friends. I'm praying for you.

Just wanted you to know that she was very precious and touched us all in her special way (and continues to do so, eventhough she is not physically here)......I will never forget her.
